Questions about Algoma Natural Healing Clinic

Find out answers to questions relating to naturopathic medicine.

  1. What are your hours?
Monday to Friday: 8 am - 7 pm
    Saturday 9 am - 3 pm

  2. What can I expect on my first visit?
Please check out this page that describes a first visit.

  3. Are your services covered by OHIP?
Naturopathic doctors are not covered by OHIP in the province of Ontario. However, most extended health benefits packages cover visits to licensed naturopathic doctors up to a certain amount per family member per year. Consult your benefits package for details.

  4. Why do you sell supplements in your clinic?
  5. By having a dispensary on-site the clinic is able to customize the treatments given. For example, the doctor can choose which herbs are best for you to make a botanical tincture rather than having to pick from generalized product mixtures. The doctor is able to ensure that you are getting the exact treatment and dose prescribed. Only professional line products are used. It is an added convenience for the patient who can leave the clinic with a treatment in hand. Patients always have a choice whether they wish to purchase products from the clinic dispensary or obtain the products elsewhere. Patients are informed when products can be found at local stores.

  6. Are you accepting new patients?
  7. Yes. I gratefully accept new patients. No referral is necessary to see your naturopathic doctor. Thank you for your trust and confidence. I look forwawrd to working with you.

  8. What is the cost for a visit?
  9. Please refer to our pricing.
